Counselling sessions are undertaken in a supportive and safe environment in which confidentiality is always respected and upheld.

When you experience harm caused by another you may feel overwhelmed and struggle to function healthily in your everyday life.
Surviving Counselling offers trauma-responsive and trauma-conscious services across all interpersonal trauma experiences, including vicarious trauma.
Interpersonal trauma can be one or a combination of the following:
• Emotional abuse and/or neglect
• Physical abuse and/or neglect
• Sexual abuseExamples
• Sexual abuse and sexual assault counselling, whether your experience was as a child or an adult, repeated experiences, or a single event.• Understanding reporting and prosecuting sexual abuse or sexual assault is a traumatic experience I can support you in healing as well as navigating the legal system.
• Emotional abuse through a lack of nurturing as a child, coercive control in a relationship, or narcissistic abuse can be isolating and devastating. Your brain is adapted to help you survive toxic situations and is the key to assisting you in developing safe and healthy relationships.
• Physical abuse, whether you experienced this as a child or in a domestic violence relationship the wounds run deeper than the physical injuries suffered. It affects your ability to feel safe with others and you deserve to feel safe and to experience healthy and caring relationships.

Loss of a firm sense of self as a result of trauma and/or significant loss experienced through your circumstances

For new clients ensure you select this option when booking as an initial intake appointment is necessary before we begin.
This session will be a minimum of 15 minutes and payment is not required.
Medicare concessions are unavailable.

Standard counselling sessions are 60 minutes duration which includes 10 minutes administration time.
$130 per hour
Discount for concession card holders and low-income. Please contact me to discuss your options.

For pension and senior card holders, a 50% concession rate applies.
If you require a counselling service but are struggling financially please contact me to discuss a short-term option. This will be on a case-by-case basis.
